RHR was formed in 1986 as a Management Consulting firm to the Hospitality Industry by a group of hotel industry experts with extensive background in all areas of hotel development and operations.  We assist owners and operators in all areas of hotel and restaurant operations from feasibility studies to operations supports and sales and marketing assistants.   Because of our extensive background we have also been called on as Expert Witnesses.

Our Leadership

Robert H. Rodgers is the President of RHR Systems.  Mr. Rodgers has more than 25 years experience in the Hospitality Industry and has held management positions in hotels and resorts throughout the country with Hyatt Hotels and The Sheraton Corporation as well as luxury independents.  Before starting the firm of Restaurant Hotel Research, a full service hospitality consulting firm, Mr. Rodgers specialized in pre-opening and renovation planning for major hotels and has had the opportunity to establish and coordinate profit potentials, budgets, staffing, marketing, and operations levels for several hotels, resorts and restaurants.

Over his years in operations, Mr. Rodgers found that hotels constantly had problems establishing and maintaining clear and concise purchasing and internal controls procedures.  This fact, coupled with high levels of employee turnover in back-of-the-house positions, was the impetus to begin research into a system that would reduce operating expenses, improve the flow of critical information, and increase productivity.  The system would have to be easy to learn and flexible enough to operate in different styles of hotels with different needs.  RHR Systems which features hand held terminals with bar code scanning to maximize productivity is the result of years of research and adjustment.
